Protect the Covenant is a rapidly growing group, consisting of hundreds of Rancho Santa Fe Association members and numerous residents of other homeowners associations within the San Dieguito River Valley area, that is working to preserve the area’s rural character and oppose commercial development outside of the downtown area of Rancho Santa Fe. If approved, this project will set a precedent that will further encourage other high-density developments within Rancho Santa Fe and the surrounding area, which will ultimately lead to the accelerated erosion of the rural character of Rancho Santa Fe and the broader San Dieguito River Valley community.

The approval of the project would be the beginning of the end of the Rancho Santa Fe Protective Covenant.
